چکیده

We consider the 3D isentropic compressible Euler equations with ideal gas law. provide a constructive proof of formation first point shock from smooth initial datum finite energy, no vacuum regions, nontrivial vorticity present at shock, and under symmetry assumptions. prove that for an open set Sobolev-class data are small L∞ perturbation constant state, there exist solutions to which form generic stable in time. The blowup time location can be explicitly computed, except single point, where they cusp-type Hölder C1/3 regularity. Singularity formation for compressible Euler equations

In this paper, for the p-system and full compressible Euler equations in one space dimension, we provide an equivalent and a sharp condition on initial data, respectively, under which the classical solution must break down in finite time. Moreover, we provide time-dependent lower bounds on density for arbitrary classical solutions for these two equations. Our results have no restriction on the ...

A Remark on Determination of Transonic Shocks in Divergent Nozzles for Steady Compressible Euler Flows

In this paper we construct a class of transonic shock in a divergent nozzle which is a part of an angular sector (for two-dimensional case) or a cone (for three-dimensional case) which does not contain the vertex. The state of the compressible flow depends only on the distance from the vertex of the angular sector or the cone. It is supersonic at the entrance, while for appropriately given larg...

Direct Numerical Solution of the Steady 1D Compressible Euler Equations for Transonic Flow Profiles with Shocks

It is well-known that stationary transonic solutions of the compressible Euler equations are hard to compute using the stationary form of the equations. Therefore, time marching methods with explicit or implicit time integration are normally employed. In this paper a method is described that computes one-dimensional transonic flows directly from the stationary equations. The method is based on ...

Shock formation in the compressible Euler equations and related systems

We prove shock formation results for the compressible Euler equations and related systems of conservation laws in one space dimension, or three dimensions with spherical symmetry. We establish an L∞ bound for C solutions of the one-D Euler equations, and use this to improve recent shock formation results of the authors. We prove analogous shock formation results for one-D MHD with orthogonal ma...

Compressible Euler-Maxwell Equations

The Euler-Maxwell equations as a hydrodynamic model of charge transport of semiconductors in an electromagnetic field are studied. The global approximate solutions to the initial-boundary value problem are constructed by the fractional Godunov scheme. The uniform bound and H−1 compactness are proved. The approximate solutions are shown convergent by weak convergence methods. Then, with some new...
